Kamerin began gymnastics at the age of 18 months and quickly progressed in the sport. She took her first gymnastics lessons at Oakland gymnastics and trained here until 2001. She then moved to Geddert's Twistars at the age of six. Ever since Kamerin has been at Twistars, she has accomplished many achievements.

She was the 2006 Level 9 Eastern National Qualifier, 2007 JO National VT Champion, 2007 US National Qualifier, 2008 US National Team Member, 2011 JO National Qualifier and 2012 JO National Team Member. She also represented the USA team at three different competitions during the 2008-2009 season.
